Barrie has been involved with the club since the year dot. He played as a junior from the age of 8 years and, believe it or not, is still playing for the 3rd team now.
He is steeped in the history of Cwmbran Celtic. His father John and uncle Jim, both ran junior sides in the club at one time.
Barrie is now a very successful businessman but always finds time to ensure the club is run the right way. He is a great organizer and is always deeply involved in any event the club holds - from letting off fireworks on bonfire night to dragging money out of people at the charity auction on our annual Sportsman's Evening.
It is difficult to imagine a time when he is not involved with the club he loves and just as hard to imagine the club without Barrie Desmond!!
