What a performance!
Playing under the pressure of having to win to give us any chance of staying in the Welsh League, the lads turned in probably their best performance of the season. Apart from a 10 minute period in the second half, we totally dominated the game and fully deserved the three points.
Our defensive trio of Mark Parfitt, Shane Harris and Micky Copeman were again superb and Jason Price, playing as a striker, turned in an awesome performance and terrorised the Seven Sisters defence from start to finish.
We made chances throughout the game and we unlucky not to be already ahead before Mark Parfitt scored from a well-taken penalty after half an hour, following a foul on Jason Price.
Early in the second half we increased our lead when Mark Haynes was set free down the right and he scored with a powerful right foot shot that the goalkeeper could only parry into the net.
Ten minutes later we awarded another penalty, again for a foul on Jason Price, and Mark Parfitt duly slotted it home to put us 3-0 ahead.
We then allowed Seven Sisters back into the game for a short spell and they were able to reduce the arrears with a well-taken goal.
10 minutes from the end we were awarded yet another penalty for a blatant hand ball but this time Mark Parfitt hit the bar and the ball rebounded to safety.
This was an excellent win and, having now finished our games, we can only sit back and hope that enough results go our way for us to avoid relegation.
